🌿 The Wild Soul Year + Root Down: A Creative Writing Journey through Story, Spirit & Earth over Zoom

🌿 The Wild Soul Year + Root Down

A Conscious Writing & Living Journey for Teen Girls (Ages 14+)
1st & 3rd Wednesdays • 6:30–7:30pm ET (starting October)
$30–50 / month • PEP Accepted • Zoom + Google Classroom

This year-long series brings together creative writing, feminine wisdom traditions, and conscious living practices in a sacred circle for teen girls. Blending The Wild Soul Year with Root Down, it is both an eco-spiritual writing journey and a grounded exploration of what it means to live with integrity, self-awareness, and sovereignty in today’s world.

Each session weaves together:

  • Shared reading & storytelling

  • Reflective/journal writing

  • Sacred geometry form drawings

  • Embodied movement & breath

  • Circle dialogue + rites-of-passage reflection

  • Seasonal and moon-based practices

Core Texts & Influences

  • Braiding Sweetgrass – Robin Wall Kimmerer (Young Readers Edition)

  • The 13 Original Clan Mothers – Jamie Sams

  • Women Who Run with the Wolves – Clarissa Pinkola Estés

  • Select writings & Teen Articles by Dr. Lawrence Wilson, forming the foundations of our critical thinking, integrity, conscious health, and soulful living themes

Girls will write their own mythic stories, keep moon journals, create nature altars at home, and explore thoughtful topics such as:

🌀 Living with Integrity – protecting your body, mind & spirit
🌙 Feminine Wisdom & the Moon – ancestral cycles of the year
🔥 Emotional & Ecological Literacy – cultivating inner & outer awareness
🛡️ Trauma & the Path of the Warrior – strength, softness, self-protection
🌸 Relationships & Boundaries – redefining intimacy and community
🌿 Leadership & Soul Purpose – discovering your voice and true identity

By the end of the year, each participant will carry a handmade collection of her stories, drawings, and reflections — an earth-rooted “memory bundle” and seed for the woman she is becoming.

Important Notes

  • Parent welcome and consent forms provided

  • Teens may opt out of heavier themes (trauma, addiction, etc) without judgment

  • All sessions are confidential and held with deep care

Facilitated by Amber Melendy — mother, guide, and founder of The Rose Tent — weaving together story, earth wisdom, and rites of passage to support teens in awakening their true voice and living with heart-rooted sovereignty.
