Rose Tent Circles

What do you vision for your daughter?

Early adolescence is an exhilarating time of uncertainty and change, when many girls begin to identify more with friends and media influences than with their conscience inner truths. Our modern culture surrounds us with 1000’s of unrealistic images of feminine beauty that pressure young girls to doubt their bodies and devalue themselves. This can be a confusing time with rapid changes in body chemistry, creating challenges to process strong emotions.

What else is possible?

The Rose Tent is a unique, consciously created community experience for girls ages 8-13 where they are invited to:

* Discover a map of well-being centered around their own inner compass
* Develop communication skills with other girls and Rose Tent women mentors
* Explore their gift of intuition and how to trust what they know
* Learn about the cycles of nature and how they relate to the natural world
* Express their creativity through art and food
* Learn new tools for emotional and physical self-care
* Practice skills they need to navigate their ongoing changes while creating positive community
* Participate in a Mother-Daughter gathering to help bridge each relationship with understanding and peace

Saturday 8/11, 10am-3pm - Welcome Circle - Come as You Are - Building the Treasure Chest
Saturday 8/18, 10am-3pm - Emerging Circle - Cultivating Community and Healthy Connections
Saturday 8/25, 10am-3pm - Mapping Circle - Creating Map of Well Being
Saturday 9/8, 10am-3pm - Intuition Circle - Centering the Inner Compass
Sunday 9/9, 10am-3pm - Full Flight Circle - Mother / Daughter Circle

Activities include:
* Building a toolkit of creative ways to express emotions
* Experiencing playful yoga and meditation
* Connecting with the Earth through backyard nature walks
* Learning to consciously harvest plants from the garden
* Expressing emotions through art and movement
* Connecting through storytelling and songs
* Many quality crafts and activities to create community, connection and build confidence

Imagine your daughter coming home after the circles with her artwork, songs, stories but also much more than that: a sisterhood bond, tools to better handle her emotions, and an appreciation for nature and the cycles of life.

Location: Jess’ home in Apopka
Dates: Saturday 8/11, 8/18, 8/25, 9/8 and Sunday 9/9/2018

My Amazing Body - Celebrating the Beauty in Everybody

1000's of girls in our community are beginning their journey into womanhood. Let us teach them the skills they need to navigate their way through the many changes they are already beginning to feel.

This can be both an exhilarating and confusing time, so connecting in a small group, learning about the cycles of nature, expressing their creativity through art and positive body movement, and understanding their emotions can bring understanding and peace not only to them but also to you as a parent. As part of the program, you'll be invited to participate in a connection circle with your daughter (one for mothers and one for fathers/male role models), so you can learn about the process the girls will be working through.

In the My Amazing Body program girls are rising up to celebrate their bodies. Girls will be invited to tune into the guidance of their five senses as we explore the systems of the body through creative art projects and interactive nature connection activities with body movement.

Session Topics
Sight - Body Image - How do we view ourselves and others?
Sound - Listening to outer and inner voice - Self Expression
Touch - Feelings - Connection with Emotions and Body Sovereignty
Taste - Digestion - Intentional Eating of Healthy Foods / Gratitude for Clean Water
Smell - Respiratory- Breath-Work - Cycles in Nature

The more that we connect with nature, the more we are tuning our 5 senses and our sense of inner knowing or intuition.
